"Limberlost" stands as a remarkable centerpiece for both the artistic decorator and avid art collector. Inspired by my hikes through the Limberlost Forest of Muskoka, this sculpture captures the essence of a breezy autumn walk with the trees all in motion. This beautiful sculpture is truly unique. "Limberlost" has been a slow journey of discovery in its making having taken me several attempts to capture the motion of Muskoka's beautiful forests. Beginning from its rooted base and ascending upwards, the sculpture reveals its shape through the intertwining wires, each twist contributing to its captivating presence.
This delicate copper sculpture measures 37cm tall by 26cm wide. It is intricately handmade through twisting and looping enameled copper wires together to form the trunk, branches and leaves. It is mounted on a found piece of wood that has been lovingly sanded, polished and sealed. The roots are secured around it. Certificate of Authenticity included.
